Our Open Doors communities strive to play a strong role in health advocacy in their local communities. We have organized and coordinated over 15+ fundraisers and enrichment events over the past year.

Health Care Packaging
December 15, 2023
“Our Lexington branch reached out to a local senior center, Senior Sunrise, in Arlington, MA and made 75+ care packages for Christmas Holidays.
They included many basic necessities and hygiene products including tooth brushes, towels, hand soap, and stationary.
We also added a little holiday cheer! We included health infographics to strengthen messages of health literacy and empowerment in older citizens.

Haverford Sweet Treats Sale
December 6, 2023
Our Haverford branch in Haverford, PA organized a donut fundraiser at their local high school where donut orders were collected from high school classrooms and delivered to individuals in the following weeks.
These leaders did an outstanding job and raised over $250.

Cambridge Health Alliance MyCHArt Workshop -
March 29, 2024
Our lexington branch met with the Chief Community Officer Doug Kress at Cambridge Health Alliance Hospital to attend a workshop on the disparities in patient education in the greater boston area.
Our leaders trained on the development of patient record MyCHArt account assistance and participated in Q&As with Community Health Workers. Conducted research study following patient satisfaction and compatibility
